Our Leadership

Lawrence Fray, Founder and CEO

Mr. Lawrence Fray  has taught in Ireland, his home country, and has held senior education management posts in England, Africa and in the UAE. He has lived for over two decades in India serving as Academic Director and as Inspector of  CAIE (Cambridge) Candidate schools.  He holds Arts and Science degrees and Diplomas in Education and  in Art History and Appreciation. He teaches Mathematics, Physics, English and Thinking Skills, and is an accomplished musician.

Lawrence is associated with Polygon (Overseas) Educational Services, and is allied to a UK provider that offers effective mindfulness and student safeguarding training for all school staff. Recently, he has developed materials for teaching the Cambridge General English AS level course and A Levels in English Language and English Literature.

Lawrence works with international school management teams, advising on curriculum development, payment systems, and quality auditing. He has developed the ‘TLC’ course in Teaching and Learning, aimed at upskilling experienced teachers, equipping new teachers with effective classroom strategies and providing a platform for school managers to examine school development through effective assessment and data driven learning.


Mr. Kirit Mehta has 25 years of corporate accounting experience alongside a distinguished record of helping a wide range of service, manufacturing and not-for-profit organizations to overcome operational and financial challenges.  

A Founder Trustee of SGKM Trust at Ghatkopar, he has collaborated with international institutions affiliated to Cambridge Assessment International Education and the University of Mumbai.

He has served as Consulting Academic Director for a reputed educational group in Maharashtra, comprised of 23 institutes and 35000 students in their Preschool, ICSE and IGCSE Schools, Arts, Science, Law, Catering, Engineering and B.Ed/D.Ed Colleges, and in their  Management Institute.

Kirit is  Chairman of Polygon Learning and Education which provides support and financial/operational systems for new schools. He serves on the Advisory Board of the well-renowned Education World Magazine

Ms. Angel Tavares, MBA, has over fifteen years of experience in driving marketing strategies and delivering solutions for various businesses. She has partnered with various cross-functioning departments. helping each client to improve their niche or general market position and penetration within a specific segment or geographical region. She is a creative thinker with proven expertise in strategizing marketing plans consisting of multi-dimensional programs across various industries and verticals in India and globally.

Nothing satisfies her more than meeting new people, developing new relationships, solving problems and contributing towards the overall growth of a business. Her career began in the marketing field in advertising agencies (Saatchi & Saatchi and DDB Mudra); she moved to the B2B side of marketing with Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Wipro,  SentinelOne, etc.

Angel firmly believes that there is always something new to learn and,  with digital media’s rapid pace of change, a constant need to explore business tactics to understand what is performing above or below expectations.

She is your go-to performance marketeer if you want to strengthen your return on investment for every dollar you spend, or enhance your sales enablement activities and build strong go-to-market strategies.

At Schools Consultancy, Angel provides a new, welcome dimension to our curriculum development, staff training and the development of original teaching strategies for Business Studies, IT and computer studies, adding real value owing to her service in the corporate world of multinational enterprise.  


Mr. Daniel Boyd has over twenty years educational experience. He hails from Liverpool, England, where he began his teaching career before working as Vice-Principal and as Head of Teaching and Learning in Abu Dhabi.  He then moved to China and was instrumental in developing the King’s College School’s first international institute. He subsequently becoming the founding Headteacher of Charterhouse Asia’s first school in China. 

Daniel currently holds two roles in Hong Kong. He is the Director of Outreach for the Kellett School, supporting disadvantaged children and refugees in securing a world class education and mentoring their development and progress in a challenging environment. He is also the Director of Education for the Educational Pathways Group (EDP). He brings a wealth of experience in the provision of educational services, notably through ‘TeachUp’ which offers ground breaking, innovative online training for teachers of all nationalities and backgrounds.

Daniel’s aim is to make a real difference in the world of education. He has a passion for supporting others and helping all with education-based careers to grow and develop, and fulfil their potential as educators of future generations.


Dr. Mira Shah completed her Ph.D. in School Psychology from the Pennsylvania State University, USA, and her Master’s studies in Special Needs at the University of Nottingham, UK.  She has worked with children in classroom settings in India, the USA and England. Her primary research area dealt with cross-cultural applications of instruments and interventions, especially the utility and reliability of Bracken School Readiness Assessment and the applicability of a Response to Intervention model in reading with students in Mumbai.

Dr. Shah promotes best practices in education through research and training that is specific to each school’s requirements.  She has extensive experience in assessment, intervention planning, ethical research, and statistics and is skilled in  formulating school policies, protocols and procedures.

Mira, has trained teachers in direct instructional approaches to reading and has coordinated their classroom work with section heads to set up tiered service delivery models to trigger early intervention with students who may exhibit reading difficulties.

She has  devised a six-module ESL course to foster students’ confidence and prosocial behaviour and provide a well-defined path to age-appropriate competency in English communication and literacy. She has developed a holistic pre-school curriculum which includes a comprehensive teacher assessment system, parent workshops, and informal student assessments.
